Re: Is it ok to jump start a storm?

As an electrical engineer I can't see a problem. Connect the jump leads with the ignition off on both vehicles. Start the car if you want - again I don't see a problem with this and the higher voltage will make starting the bike easier but it should be fine without as long as you have good leads and...

Re: Why don't we have a Dyno Day ?

I'm in :D Will be nice to check what effect the little things done over the years have made. Not too bothered about BHP just the curve and A/F mixture really just to check it's not dangerously far out. It feels ok to me but I'm probably so used to any problems I don't even notice them anymore  ...

http://www.waterfoxproject.org/benchmarks.php

Shows Waterfox performance.

I'm not claiming any advantages for Waterfox - just throwing it in as most people probably haven't heard of it.

Re: Which browser are you using?

Waterfox.

64bit build of Firefox. Supposed to be quicker but I doubt it's noticeable. I just like to be different and rarely use Windows anyway.

Re: Rutland rideout saturday 2nd March 2013.

Did you try a Hypermotard?

My mates wife has one - I've rode it, amazing thing, total hooligan bike.

I would have got one but as fun as it is, I don't think I could spend too much time on one. Not sure what market it's aimed at but not for someone who wants to go out a whole day.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Took it for an MOT. Place looked closed except for a bloke washing a van. I asked if it was open he said no, but what do you want? - I said MOT so he opened up for me and did me an MOT. Very good of him - and the bike passed with no problem :D He then told me how good the VTR is and how they rarely ...

Re: Better then drugs

I would love a good nights sleep. Never found anything that I can legally buy that helps - apart from alcohol, but the hangover is worse than the lack of sleep. I thoroughly recommend a Kindle Paperwhite - at least you can read without disturbing the missus instead of lying there frustrated. Limitin...
