Vacuum hoses

Good afternoon all. Could anyone tell me how many vacuum hoses are on the 97 vtr. I know of one being the rear of petcock to the rear cylinder but on rebuilding the heads due to cam chain tensioner failure I came across a stray vacuum hose tee'd into another stray vacuum hose just sitting there. So ...

Re: Charging issues

"but its a copy." If a Chinese dodgy copy then you're likely worse off than before you started. Consider this FH020 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2017-yamaha-MT09-MT-09-regulator-rectifier-203-A/233823538675 True point my friend. Il hold out from the copies then and get hold of that then. Ch...

Re: Charging issues

Anything above 15V would be a tad excessive Technical & Troubleshooting > Bike battery charging problems https://www.electrexworld.co.uk/acatalog/Technical.html What's the FH serial on the R/R? (FH001?) is it a genuine one or a cheap Chinese copy? Also is the multimeter reading accurately? Try ...

Re: Tail unit

Hi guys and gals. I'm currently in the process of street fighting the vtr and was wondering what tail units would fit this bike to make it a bit sharper on the rear end with my high rise pipes. Tia was that your goodself asked on facefake about the rear end  . GSXR 1000 K1 to K3 single sea...

Charging issues

Merry Christmas to you all, hope u had a nice day yesterday. Right I'm having a bit of an issue with my charging voltages. Iv currently fitted a new battery and also changed the rectifier to a mosfet type from r1/r6/Fjr1300. I'm getting figures of 15.2v at idle and rise to 15.4v at high revs. I have...

Re: Hi

Thankyou kev. On the ride home from picking the bike up the reg rec packed up so got that sorted. Following a service and balancing the carbs it really did not run right, so out with the spanners I found a split in the petcock diaphragm which I then replaced, still no different, final fix was to rem...
