Whats wrong with the storm forks? They dive under heavy braking, are waaaaaaaay too soft and there's a problem with the way the hydraulic fluid passes through(can't pass fast enough, causing a kind of lock up). I got NDM performance parts to re-spring mine with Ohlins internals and they now kick bot...

Yup, they were pulling over random groups of bikers in the wee village just outside mondello last time and going over them with a fine tooth comb, speed traps on the N7 etc...

One good thing though, they had a few coppers strolling around the bikepark checking for stolen bikes.

Got the conti road attack's on yesterday and I have to say I'm impressed.

Scrubbed 'em in on a lovely set of twisties(the wicklow gap, for any of the Irish lads).

Turn in is good and high speed stability both in a straight line and through turns is spot on.

I had a Sprint steering damper fitted & never got so much as a headshake(ride like a maniac at the w/end) but I had to take it off so as I could fit my crash mushrooms. Currently looking at machining myself a new mounting bracket for the damper.

Do any of you have experience of Continental tyres?

They've a new one out called the "road attack", got a very good write-up in TWO last month.

I've been thinking of giving 'em a whirl as I can get a set fitted for about 260euro's(about £160) and my Hi-sports are shagged.

How about "Listen up, I've got something to say. It's better to burn out, than fade away!!!!"

Or as Lemmy from Motorhead once said:

"You know I'm gonna lose..

and gamblin's for fools...

But thats the way I like it baby,

I don't wanna live forever..."

You talking about the castellated nut? (looks like the top of a rook in chess) You're supposed to have a special tool to remove it, but if you tap it anticlockwise CAREFULLY with a hammer and a big flathead screwdriver(the blunter the better) it'll come off. You then just slip on the mushroom, tight...

SILVTR, If he didn't have a camera on you he can't do you for speeding. As for the other stuff, did he write out a ticket or anything or did he just say you'd be taken to court? I got stopped for passing between two cars & passing on the left on the M50 a while back(it was 11pm and there were on...

We generally don't have to worry about the whole "road use/not for road use" thing over here, hence I've got the stainless blueflame race cans on. Mmmmm, rumbly

I'd go for stainless, looks the shiznit when they're polished up.

But I'd go for Blueflame instead of Art, they sound a bit meatier :)
