Re: Fitting fireblade forks ?

I do wish to use same wheel and brakes so 93-97 it is ! replace for these forks is quite useless as it shares the same crappy design of lower triples. You can achieve better result with just upgrading your current forks. That is certainly an option, but I should think the udf from a blade would be ...

Re: Fitting fireblade forks ?

if your gona spend money on the rear, junk the shock, to put it mildly they are crap.. i should have also said, if you wana use you front wheel and discs and calipers to help keep costs down the legs from 93 to 99 fit but you must use yokes no later than 97 or the spacing will be wrong for a storm ...

So I do actually need top and bottom yokes with the legs ! :D What Fab said.. forks, triple/yokes, handlebars but you want risers and a mudguard and then just bolt you...

Fitting fireblade forks ?

What do I need to purchase if I decide to fit fireblade forks ?
Can I just buy the two fork stanchions and they will fit as a direct simple replacement ?
Or not so easy a job ?

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

i done the same last year on old yellow :eek2 . drained it out and it was none the worse for it  I did it twice with my triumph ST lol Its so easy done. So easy in fact I was wondering if its perhaps worth taking the £4 halfords syphon everywhere. Its pretty small and likely to fit under s...

Thought my bike was knackered at first. Had no idea I had done it, as the petrol station is only half a mile from where I live...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Booked it in at bike tech again grrrrr Seems head bearings are loose. Bike shakes it’s head when letting go of the bars. So have booked it in. Hopefully they have just gone slack but new head bearings otherwise. While it’s in.... full service with all fluids changed and a one tooth larger rear sproc...
