I feel your pain regarding the nice weather....But take into account I aint ridden one[except test rides of everything else but a Storm] for nigh on 10 years....yes I'm getting a bit OBSESSED.... :beer:

The main stability is gained by the footrests being anchored to one of the brackets.
This does mean that you can't whip off the shock or swingarm but I'm just about to
make a couple of brackets that will lift the bike under the subframe so I can work on the arm and shock.

Thanks for the reply's,I've decided to sack it off,you buggers are making me see opportunity's
all over the place.
I think I'll stick to strip/clean/ride for this season,after all I still haven't ridden one of these yet!!!! 8O :lol:

Bracing a standard swingarm

Back in the day you could take your Bandit s/arm to JMC @Kirby to have it braced.pretty good job,underslung
and kept the original chain adj
I can't find any trace of JMC now,does anyone know of a firm around the N/West that can do this work.

I!ve soaked em in +gas, I,ve tried tw@ting them and I,ve now got a pencil torch to heat em up at the weekend so here,s hoping.......

I replaced the rear disc on my 28 year old ST1100, and the bolts were tough little buggers. Thankfully I have an electric impact gun, bought 2 years ago and only used 3 times, but each time has been a "hallelujah" moment. I'm sure if I just gave the disc bolts a big heave-ho with a long b...

Rear disc bolts seized any ideas

As above really,2 of the rear disc bolts are solid,would heating them with a pencil torch help to free them?
Not sure if it is thread lock or corrosion,any help gladly welcomed....
