I should have responded sooner. IF you are a stopper mod user AND there is a fresh noise suspected to be cam chain, the first thing to do is remove the hex bolt from the end each CCT and insert a small screw driver till it engages. OK riders, I see the issue with the spring being removed while adding the stopper stock. OK, I am a New VTR owner from Seattle. It's a 17,000 mile Red 1998 in decent but ignored condition. I've just completed the stopper mod on the front cylinder.
