Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Oh I was more busting his chops not blaming him. When it was loose. Too tight is my own damn fault. too loose was too just an error in judgment. By the way Carl I only have thank you. If you look at the above post his advice plus another member crux on another forum saved my bike. Now on to a seriou...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Well carl I may have ruined a set of heads. I dont know. Because I should have watched the video again. Bike runs amazing at cruising but cuts below 1000. I am going to try to back it off. Yet again in the rain in a parking lot... Every time this bike fails its in the rain. I dont want to risk burni...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Well this isnt just about the storm but a peek into Rob's life. I fired her up and rode down to the bike shop. The head shop guy is always there. He was impressed to see I got the LED's back on, Tire on and the engine in a decent state of tune. He also put the clutch diaphragm rubber back the way it...

Re: Which rotors cost vs weight. Rear.

Thanks. I am really trying to shed some big weight on this bike without breaking the bank. I dunno about daving three months of toy money for a carbon rotor

Which rotors cost vs weight. Rear.

mickeymoto.ca is selling rotors Carbon for 350 cad. 27000 jpy. They are also selling an " Ultra light rear rotor for 120 Cad 9200 jpy. I could machine a stock one down by slotting it and removing some of the non wear surface for next to zero. I was wondering if there are any cheaper ceramic's. ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Well whoopie I actually have something to post not related to glycol. :D I tried to swap in my 1000rr rim and realized it would either take a drill and a prayer or some welding. I am opting for welding the chain ajusters from the RR in. It's a sweet swing arm but I have a whole spare engine now plus...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Agreed on both of the above but we kind of jacked the thread a bit. I think its most important function besides antifreezing is the lubercation and corrosion inhibitors. On the 50/50 ratio I am not so sure that is correct. I am going to read over again. I think straight 50/50 premix came out a...

Re: S valves.

Yes carl I may dive in there today. I really need to sort my rear rim situation. Both carbs and tire are in need. I think I can live with the fart until after the wheel is sorted. Its colder than a witches bits and rainy. I dont mind riding in the rain but I hate to admit I am getting good at riding...

Re: Manual Cam Chain Tensioner Installation Guide (MCCT's)

Update. I have the same issue with low revs. I think when you install the MCT's it messes with the timing compared to how it was with the stock wimpy tensioner. IE the chain is back to proper tension therefor putting the timing back to where it was when new. My front CCT is done but not the rear and...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

I am at the home of honda here. I am way under but left it more water to do an experiment real quick. Under 50/50 is actually fine. As long as the specific gravity is ok. Ill be getting my tester in the mail long before it even hits zero here. My experient was a success I think. I am still not sure ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Sorry I didnt post earlier. I was out for a longer test ride. Flushed with a hose then I flushed with distilled. Then I added half a liter of concentrated blue coolant and topped up with distilled. I will say the rads and the water that came out looked pretty clean. That was in the morning. just now...
