Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
Nice to see it up on its wheels Duffy. Looks like the build's on the home stretch - that's always a good place to be!

Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
get a rad and fan set in the passenger seat bit Duffers. It will fit. Yep, I agree you'll get a rad to fit under the seat no problem, but you'll compromise airflow. To work efficiently the rad needs air directed THROUGH it, not over it. Two issues with under-seat: Firstly, the under-seat ...

Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
It sure is. And I didn't even mention the lack of space BEHIND the rad - a hot cylinder head and no room for proper airflow. That's why the side mount rad was the only option for me.

Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
The issue I had with the GSXR front end was lack of space between the front cylinder head and the forks - I can imagine the Blade front end being a similar size to the GXSR front end. Here's a couple of very early pics of Tango before it became Tango... this was my first (and only) attempt to locate...

Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
Duffy, my side-mount rad on Tango was made by Docking Engineering at Silverstone (link below). Wasn't cheap because it was a 1-off but maybe worth a look if you get stuck...

MARIGOLDS Mac :wtf: and you worry about me riding a teal Storm! Tiger Grip, best disposable gloves I've ever used, don't fall apart at the slightest wiff of any chemicals unlike most of the ones I've had in the past... Highly recomended... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MEDIUM-100-x-Tige...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
today I have had my front calipers off to see what they looked like . I fitted all 4 pads last year and all 4 were wearing evenly which says to me they are doing ok. I also loosened all the pistons up and cleaned everything up. I also wanted to check backward/forwards movement on the forks. there w...

Re: Tango'd Storm
....Thinking of having them powdercoated black or black with polished rims Yup - that was my suggestion! (gloats!): Black wih polished rims! As you keep yer bike spotless, diamond cut rims shouldn't be too bad to keep nice. A wipe with ACF50 will keep em shiny for ages. Nowt wrong with the KTM oran...

Re: Tango'd Storm
Thanks for the really kind comments. I'm blushing now... The "tick paddy" (Don, my mate you spoke to) does bang on a bit, doesn't he? I think he's trying to smooth talk his way into orange streetfighter ownership, the sneaky git. Lace my tea with something nasty (like Irish whisky - I'm a ...

Re: Tango'd Storm
That's an interesting question. I've not taken any temp readings. I remember a conversation a long time ago with someone I've forgotten who reckoned the stock VTR oil cooler is effectively redundant as it doesn't do much of a cooling job at all. One of the reasons I stuck the bigger oil cooler on is...
