Re: Well you asked for another Ducati build

Thought this Guzzi might be of interest, it was at a bike meeting at Stamford Bridge near me last year, looked better in the flesh.

Elvington Speed display today

Had a ride to Elvington today for the speed display organised by Straightliners who have the speed run days there. Weather was a bit grim but wanted to try the WP shock I've just fitted and see what the gear change was like after modifying the bolt to reduce play in lever. Ride seemed a lot better a...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Today fitted the WP rear shock I got off BozBoz, old original shock had done 46,000 miles so hoping for some improvement . Stripped down suspension linkage to check and regrease it was all still in good condition. While spannering thought the gear change had quite a bit of movement which could be re...

Mine had been abandoned in back of garage for 6 years until last year. I put another battery on it (2nd hand from Agent Pineapple) and started easily with no probs. Hope yours is same, good luck.

Re: New member and owner.

As Popkat says your choice on CCT, my VTR had 3 failures of CCT in its lifetime. The first one at very low milage according to paperwork that came with it. Its now got manuals on so no problem now.

Re: Mini Lathe/milling

Having enough room is a problem for me as well, too many bikes. Tony even a little lathe like this one can cut threads. It is geared to cut metric and imperial. As for its accuracy I've now set all the slides so there's no play in them I think it should be OK now. Had to do a bit of filing and took ...

Mini Lathe/milling

Many years ago I served my time as centre lathe turner. I always thought a lathe would be handy for use in the garage. Seen the mini lathes on internet and decided to buy. Ordered this one which has a milling motor which attaches to cross slide when needed. It is very small but can do 7" dia X ...

Re: Me

Yes some good bikes you have had. Beautiful part of the world you live, we will be there for the second time in April on a cruise. Only did a short cycle ride in Andalsnes which was good. I'd like to go on motorcycle one day.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Got this alarm delivered today. £11.99 inc P+P on ebay. Battery operated will easily fit under seat. It's loud with an annoying siren. It cable ties in position but im going to use it on my pushbike as well so will think of someway to locate it on the Honda.
