Re: 2 short stack/bellmouth questions

the A&L link says they are out of stock. i saw that website a few days ago but it seems like its out of stock and prolly will never be in stock again

lloydie it seems like the shorter one is VERY short and the long one is like the shorter stock one.

Re: 2 short stack/bellmouth questions

Re: 2 short stack/bellmouth questions

It's not about going over 150mph. It's about more top end in each gear. I'm jut wondering what the consensus is by people who have tried it.

2 short stack/bellmouth questions

ive been reading on here that changing to 2 long stacks gives you more low end oomph, and 2 shorter stacks gives you more top end. when i did my MCCT install the other day, i found out that the previous owner used permanent loctite on the mounting bolts for the rear stack so in trying to remove the ...

I taped right into the swinger for 2 reasons.

1. It's a smaller hole drilled into the swingarm.

2. If it ever fails I can drill the hole larger to use a rivnut

Re: Tyre question

PP3's. PLENTY of grip. AWESOME millage. still on my first set (after switching from Q3's) and ive prolly got about 4,000 miles on them. still look new and not even near time for a change. great grip when your at speed and high lean angle. never tried the PR series though so if its millage your after...

Re: for those of you with swing arm spools...

Well done glad you've done the job  the only thing is you've modified the "R" and "K" letters  :) At least we have that option if they did ever come lose. Chris. i dont even know what the RK means ha. this is the swingarm i bought so that when i got the brace weld...

Re: Paddock stand Bobbins

I'm afraid I can't help you with the final torque number, I just used my experienced to tighten it up to what I thought was acceptable, remembering the swingarm is alloy (softer than steel). It must have been close to being right as it's not moved yet. I can guess why you asked though, you're conce...

Re: for those of you with swing arm spools...

just ended up tapping directly into the swingarm. seems sturdy. but i guess we will see how it goes in the long run. i drilled the holes according to a photo i saw on here showing the spool mounted 107mm from the rear, and 25mm up from the bottom bolts were M8x1.25 which is pretty much the standard ...

Re: for those of you with swing arm spools...

ive read that its better to use a rivnut but ive also never read any incidents on anyones swing arm cracking or anything even tapping directly into it. im just wondering how the threads tapped directly into the swing arm hold up after years of use, 200, 800, 1000 times on and off a rear stand.... i ...

Re: finally did my CCT's and R/R

i would be pissed if he was using somthing i made for personal gain with just a nod to a name i dont think hes using anything anyone did for personal gain. there really is only one way (well a few variations) to put in MCCT's. all he did was grab a really well written set of step-by-step directions...

Re: finally did my CCT's and R/R

yes i saw that they were "borrowed" from here. i liked the way he (or you, chris) numbered it and didnt over crowed it. its explains things in detail but keeps it simple. it was difficult to follow some other write ups ive seen where there is just wayyyyyy to much info being thrown at you....
