Gas/Electric - Who Do You Use?
Been with SSE for two years, originally because they were the only UK owned supplier I could get. Important to me that infrastructure important to the country is not owned by the French (British Gas) or the Germans (E-On, NPower etc). Not wearing an 8% price rise though so switching to First:Utility...

Yes, thanks mate - seems silly buying the stand and scrimping on the fittings, set ordered.

To Borrow - Abba Stand Fittings?
Hi, Can't post in Wanted yet, but could anyone loan me the Abba Stand fittings (adapted for engine mounts) if possible? Bought a second hand stand. Anyone here want the fittings it comes with (ZX6R) before they get binned/Ebayed)? Return postage paid plus promise of a beer or three at a future rideo...

Re: Rear Suspension seized - how to lift bike?
Thanks Carl and Wicky, I may see how much my local bike shop will charge to do the work, as £100 for an Abba stand would go some way to off-setting the cost of it being done properly.

Re: Rear Suspension seized - how to lift bike?
Thanks CK, no way to ratchet it, but I've removed all the bodywork so I guess lying it down wouldn't be an issue. If I get a couple of burly mates to lift it I could sit it on a stand/jack - will putting a block under the crankcase not cause any damage. I may buy an Abba stand to be honest. I only g...

Rear Suspension seized - how to lift bike?
Well my rear shock/linkage seems seized. Preload is on second setting from Max, and the rear end won't move at all when I bounce on the bike. Only bought it last week, so no history but it looks very neglected down where the linkage is. So, having no joists in the garage that I can ratchet strap the...

Re: Thank you and goodbye.
That's harsh mate, I hope all turns out well, doctors can be just as fallible as the rest of us.
Take care, good luck and keep an eye on the forum mate, you may be able to help others with the knowledge you've amassed as a Firestorm owner

Re: The Firestorm Diaries
That looks so much better than my '99 black one (only bought last week) that I could cry. All new SS fasteners for me too, after I unseize the rear suspension, sort the bodywork, remove the alarm etc etc

Re: Grips - any recommendations
I have tried a few different brands (though not the Renthals which seem to be favourites with many) but I have been running Spider Slim LIne SLR grips (like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spider-Slim-Line-SLR-Motorcycle-Grips-Green-Black-/190484156306?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2...

Re: What's annoyed you today??
What's annoyed me today.... The fact I just realised that most nights I seem to be wasting. I'll get in from work around 18:15 after starting between 0600 - 0700, eat my dinner and then sit down a listen to music or the missus waffle on or just generally nothing. Feels like I'm wasting part of my l...
