It's really simple to use. Attach pipe, loosen nipple, and pump lever away to get rid of the bulk of air. Then for the last bit to get an extra good bleed, Open nipple, squeeze lever, close nipple, release lever, open nipple, squeeze lever, close nipple, release lever and so on. Keep an eye on you ...
