Re: CCT in Midlands (or close enough to travel to)

OK I got my manual CCTs (cheers Ade!) Now the daunting task of actually fitting them. I can't help but think that this can go very wrong and I'm very nervous about doing it alone. Any tips, or experienced people about to lend a hand? or show me the way. there are some good reads on this site about i...

Re: Repairing my downpipes

pics of the area. some of the exhaust port area and the others are the problem area/where i think the air is blowing from. hopefully this will give a better idea of the issue and the best way to solve it. Re: Exhaust Baffled

I'm a sound engineer and a music lecturer so I make sure I wear ear plugs as much as possible. Can't really do my job if I lose my hearing. I used to tour the world a lot as a guitarist too so earplugs were used constantly. Had custom ones made too which I used for mixing and riding. however the foa...

Exhaust Baffled

Hello. Got a pair of dual ported arrow exhausts on my late father's black storm, after removing an unmatched set of remus cans. It is ridiculously loud and can get quite annoying at times. Changing them out is not an option as it took ages to find them and even longer to adapt them to fit the bike. ...

Re: Repairing my downpipes

So if i get a gasket and clamp then an exhaust gasket and bolts for the engine port i should be ok? Ill pick up some copper grease too. Which lube is best for this? Same with silicone too, which is better? Seems like a convoluted job to stop a bit of air blowing bear the rear shock (maxton one btw, ...

Re: Watch this. AMAZING!

Pretty clever. not too bothered about the drifting but the fact you can have a controllable 360 view of something is very interesting. Now to find a way to do something cool with it for bikes. Motogp on boards or IOMTT cameras? watching those back like this through youtube would be cool. from what i...

http://i399.photobucket.com/albums/pp75/metalmad18/Mobile%20Uploads/image_2.jpg Dual ported Arrows. Not a fan of the high level exhausts on this bike so I love the look of these. 2 holes are better than one right? (or should that be 4 are better than 2? Used to be a set of Remus Cans on there which...

Re: Repairing my downpipes

Cheers guys. that helps. sounds fairly simple, just gotta make sure the little things are noticed. I'll get some clamps and a gasket seal asap. Do I need to take the shorter pipe out the engine or can I leave it in and just drop the rest of the system off it? Guessing there wouldn't be enough cleara...

Re: Repairing my downpipes

right so a gasket seal is first attempt. Sounds stupid I know but what exactly do I have to do with the seal itself? should it just fit on there? Do I put it over the gap and put the clamp around it? Really am clueless and the internet and youtube haven't helped one bit. Some stuff I'm pretty good w...

Re: Repairing my downpipes

Yes I do but I've been riding with it off lately. This is air blowing from a specific area so it is definitely the downpipe connection. If I can get away with doing it by just taking the exhaust and fairings off I will be much happier. I fit a new set of downpipes to my old cbr600fy and there were f...

Re: Shall I update indicators?

cheers guys I was aware of all these factors. Had some issues with indis on my old bike and learned a lot. Replacement bulbs were the route I went down. I have had the fairings off yes so I have had to disconnect the indicators to get the panels off (aftermarket mini indicators on it so I rewired em...
