Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Think I am going from work to the weston meet up on Thursday evening if you want to meet. I have a few of my friends of old that have got bikes since I used to live in the area going and we are having a reunion but it's a meet up for any one as far as I am aware down there.

Re: Failing cct???
I have just put a manual cct on mine because it had a horrible clank on the front cylinder and it's fixed it completely. I think CCT's must be able to just weaken off as normal ones do as well as fail completely.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Thanks for that, I am probably being paranoid, but with what's happened so far on this bike I am not surprise3d. I'll just go for a run and keep an eye on it!

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Fitted a Bazzer CCT to the money pit. Cured the horrible clanking, so the front CCT was obviously weak. Just the rear to do now but I wanted to rule out it definitely being the front, so I didn't want to fit both simultaneously without running it. Runs fine now, need to back it off ever so slightly ...

Re: Should I rebuild this shed or count my losses.
HI chaps First off, I am loving the forum, thanks for the helpful attitude around here. I have not done anything on the bike for a couple of weeks as I am in the process of sorting the bits I need to get it on the road, but have been doing a million hours at work anyway. I have got CCT's from Bazzer...

Re: Engine clunking!!!
Sounds to me like the chain/sprockets are worn. Sprockets tend to wear oval, which means as it gets worse, you get a tight spot as the wheel goes round, this makes the chain jump up and slap down on the swingarm and causes the knocking you are describing. get it on a paddock stand or roll it back an...

I thought the same thing, in what way is it illegal to alter your bike to make it go faster? As long as insurance know, there is no issue.
I could lose 4 stone, that would make it go a shed load faster, is that illegal?

Re: Anybody else not checked tyre pressures for a while?
Would fitting a stronger valve spring reduce air loss? I was watching something other day and they said at speed the inertial forces on the spring can cause it to back off and a tiny amount of air escape Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 The valve is pushed IN to let air escape, so centripetal...
