Re: F2 for sale

It seems you my friend have the same cleaning policy I have... My bike gets a wash with the hose once a yea...

Re: Tank Vacuum problem ( I think !! )

Just to confirm... If you do the 19L swap with the petcock from the newer bike, the only thing that changes is the location of the petcock and the extra line between it and the tank... Operation, and connected number of hoses remains the same otherwise... If you swap to a simple on/off, like the var...

Re: Tank Vacuum problem ( I think !! )

Check breather hoses for kinks and bends... It indeed seems like you are getting back pressure in the tank, so those are the obvious culprits... Also, riding in wet weather, the ends benefit from being cut at an angle to make sure no drops of rain, or excess fuel gets caught there, by capillary forc...

Re: I'm trying to understand the coolant Reserve tank

Well, high or low pressure aside, it does actually work like described above... The coolant that has been pushed out when hot returns back into the engine when it cools, by back pressure... It is needed, but it doesn't need to be as big as it is, and it doesn't need to be placed there...

About a 3rd of these you could blame the rider for undertaking etc! Your right mate there are some real stupid moves in there from some of the bikers. Agreed that there are stupid moves on the behalf of the riders... But you are forgetting the fact that not all people drive on the wrong side of the...

Re: Rear caliper mounting locations

I really can see no other reason, than for road debris/salts whatever... And potentially the bleed issue if you use a stock VTR/CBR caliper... I'd go for one meant for underslung mounting, with the bleed in the proper place, and be done with it...

It wont fill your pockets much at all with the current market, and like someone said already, if you like the bike, and the fact that it's a twin, you'd be hard pressed to find a replacement for decent money that makes you happy... So my verdict... New battery, new fluids and a filter change, clean ...
