Re: compulsory helmets

I think it's more to do with having the choice. But I believe this ones a loosing battle especially in today's nanny state. If I want to take the risk and be able to ride without a lid then I should be able to do so. It''s my life!!! why should the goverment have control over how long I live. They ...

Re: For the attn of Mik_str

I have about that number in my road bike... And there is just about nothing stock left inside that engine, and it didn't make anywhere near that with just cams and jets, even with the updated tensioners... So I highly doubt that claim is true...

Re: Extra lights

I have done a few for Swedish VTR owners, but I doubt it's cost effective for you in UK... And besides, it's not that complicated... It's very possible to DIY it without much knowledge really... Get a spare headlight in decent nick, and purchase this... http://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retr...

Re: Anyone played with Velocity Stacks?

This makes perfect sense and I prefer this method as all we are after is a goal and that is more power. The changes we make either move us towards that goal or away from the goal. It doesn't matter if the Cv is faster or slower on a stack but more importantly if the change moves you towards that go...

Re: Anyone played with Velocity Stacks?

so do we have and answer lol... can you just fit two longs or two shorts and get an incease without rejetting? Yes... Like said above, two long gives you more low range and two short gives more top end... All you need to do is perhaps adjust the needles a tad or two... Basically do an idle drop and...

Re: Anyone played with Velocity Stacks?

Would you happen to know how much you increased your flow coefficient by? No point in asking questions like this as I don't think anyone on the forum really has the mechanical means of measuring it... Nor do they probably have a nice CFD package and a nice number crunching puter to go with it. I do...

Re: GTX

I have run my cbr6 on car oil for over 1000,000 mls, no problem, and no clutch issues. Where does the idea of car oil making bike clutches slip? You hear of it but I have never heard of it actually happening. I have seen the effects first hand... The clutch discs had to be replaced on a local VTR o...

Re: oh f oh f

But the problem wasn't where the copper stood as the lead bike had time to stop without hitting him. It was the dozy twonk behind him who reacted too late, surely? My point was that based on self preservation, both actions where to be considered dumb... Yeah, the guy on the bike was at fault, no do...

Re: oh f oh f

Totally avoidable if the riders had of A) been riding to the road conditions and b) riding in a staggered formation. maybe the copper should have used a bit more common sense by not jumping out in front of the leading bike but he was doing his job or at least trying.... Nowhere in his job de...
