Pete, sorry for your loss mate, I lost several friends my self, on bikes and in the military. I know the feeling, maybe you should look at this from another angle, would your friend want you to loose confidence and stop riding? Or would he want you to continue his/your legacy? Just came from a 110 miles night ride, all back wood roads, some hair pins as well, didn't hit any dear :D , but I did see a coyote crossing the road, I just love the VTR... so much fun!!! BTW, for this type of ride in a fast pace, I do use HID projector light and auxiliary led lights. In the woods ...
