Welcome Jane, nice to have you onboard. ...We're the last of a dying breed, (according to the local Casualty, anyway)... Yeah, where are the manufacturers in all this? Why aren't they promoting motorcycling as a green alternative? Get someone hooked on a 100mpg 125 and you cut emissions, road space ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Finally completed heated grips  All relayed up, nice smart job with all components tucked in the seat fairing at the side of the starter relay and provision for any other accessories via the relay and feed directly from the battery. Bought a black leather trouser belt from a charity shop in th...

Re: The cop, the speed bump and, oh dear!!

Sheeeeeet !!! I feel for the guy. I for one have been concerned about the trend to raise the road level at junctions, so, at a X-roads for instance, there is a platform in the middle. Fine, but often there is no warning of this ramp other than small white triangle arrows on the slope. At night - wel...

Re: Arai Chaser

I've got one, my current lid.

I always use ear plugs, so I can't comment on the noise but I really like it, good ventilation - mine's got pinlock fitted - and extra long visor which gives good visibility.

I'd recommend it. Got mine in plain white as it was a bit cheaper.

Ah, would that be a live from that connector near the battery? the white 2-wire one?

Where did you then earth your relay to?

Help! - Feed for Heated Grips Relay

I'm finishing off my heated grips. I hate all the mess around your battery when you add accessories so I've mounted the connectors, relay and control unit inside the seat fairing (where there is loads of useful space) at the side of the starter relay and I'm pleased you can see none if it! My last i...

Ah, it's a bugger that. Very sad and no kind of an innings.

I saw them live in 1972 (ish) in Derby.

Re: The worst bike you have owned.

A 1954 LE Vellocette...bought in Derby as a none runner in about 1972...fixed it up...wrote it off...went nowhere but spend a shed load of money I didn't have on it. No, actually it was an NSU Quickly...wait, no was that worse than the Yamaha FSE1 ?...or my 500 side valve Triumph. ExWD parallel twin...
