Re: Pics of my new bike

Hi, I am pretty central in Derby, be up for a ride sometime if you like? Redline was brilliant to deal with, very helpful and efficient, price was good too. I dealt with Richard. I bought a KTM from AMS about 4 years ago and they were pretty good but they are a long way away in Gloucestershire, Redl...

Re: Pics of my new bike

I see you are near me (Debyshire) who are you dealing with? Redline at Loughborough were fantastic to deal with (thats where I bought mine) I bought a new KTM from Leisuretrail and sadly I found there attitude poor so I deal with Redline now.

Re: hiring car abroad

Hi, stick to big companies like Avis, Europecar, Hertz etc. If the CDW is low pay for it, make sure you walk round and check the car for marks and dents when they hand over and make sure they make a note of the damages etc. Check what fuel level you are supposed to return it with and stick to it oth...

Anyone fancy meeting for a ride - East Mids?

Hi, I tend to work longish hours including every Saturday so getting on some of the forums rideouts have just not happened for me. My mates dont ride bikes or have sold up so struggle to meet up with people for a ride. Just wondering if theres anyone near me who fancies meeting up from time to time ...

Re: Giving up

I just bought a duke, low ish top speed, no wind protection either so it forces me to ride on windy roads mostly below 70mph. Obviously cant go off road but it does keep the speed lower.

Re: Bike stripped!!!

Do you have a vice? If so use a socket to press out the bearing using a vice? Does that make sense?

Re: Pics of my new bike

Well its not for motorways really as no wind protection unless you stick to sensible speeds. It is very easy to ride, handles great and brakes with the abs system are awesome, abs works really well even on gravelly stuff. It has excellent economy - up to 80 mpg apparently, nice quality feel througho...

Yes its a very under rated bike. Journalists seem only interested in the latest models, the firestorm is a very very good bike.

Re: New bike update

Thanks guys, yes the back pain was spoiling my riding and putting me off getting on the bike. I was looking at a straight handlebar conversion but decided that the weight was a factor too so it had to go. I will take some pictures and post them soon :)

Re: no enjoyment?

Try riding with someone to make it fun or maybe try riding at a time when the roads are quieter? If you go out early in the morning you can have a play when less car drivers are around?

New bike update

Well I sold my firestorm last week, to a forum guy as it happens, it was a super bike so this isn't a "my new bike is better than a storm" post. My firestorm was awesome but it was making my back problems put me off riding,in fact I did very few miles on the storm because the riding positi...

Re: There's more Anti-bikers in hot weather.

Driving standards are not as good. Years ago there were lots of traffic police now hardly any, In Derbyshire they are armed response now I think. Nottinghamshire doesnt have traffic either from what I was told. People had a chance of being caught driving badly or running a Red light now its cameras ...
