Re: Bit last minute, but...

Cheers Marty, I did !! Did over a tank of juice. Went through the lanes from High Beech, Ongar, Hatfield Broad Oak, Takeley, Stortford, Buntingford, A507 to Baldock for a Vanilla Milkshake ( fat b8stard ), then the return trip. As enjoyable on a £ 1500 quid storm as any other bike I've owned. Luvvl...

Re: OIL

Its not under the air filter. Look at the top of the engine ( cam cover ) behind the airbox and in front of the seat.

+ 1 on that last comment.

3 oclock outside a set of school gates, and you've asked for it. 2 am on the M11, lets face it, you're only gonna kill yourself, and thats unlikely, seeing as you can see 2 miles in front of you.

Well done to those coppers

Re: CCT Advice

I'm turning the engine over manually Anti clockwise, the camchain seems slack and rises just above the teeth of the cams. Does that make any sense? By the way firing the TDC? Yes, it makes sense if you have removed the old cct, or it's failed completely. Just get the new manuals in and reset the ca...

Yes, I know its an easy job. Maybe I'll sling the old one somewhere easy to reach in the unlikely event i'll need it. My mates failed on the way to the Ring, was a right pain. Ta.

Reg Rec Question.

Here's a question that's probably been asked already... If your bike shows symptoms of reg/rec failure, is the battery already likely to be buggered? I was going to get a replacement and just keep it to hand, only fitting if needed. My last storm never gave me and trouble in this dept, in 4 years an...

Re: Buggered, Need help !!

You're meant to stop worrying when you fit manuals, not the other way round...! I wasn't worried when I had the originals in. My last storm did 37000 before I needed to change them, even then it didnt go pop, just noticed a rattle. But it was a while back and cant remember what to listen for now. P...

After 4 years on a storm I bought one of those.

Traded it after under a year. Great, fabulous, wonderful bike. No character though.
