Thanks for reply.... I have tried charger on car battery and it shows all LEDs/fully charged, so I'm sure it is working OK. It is a DR BIKE optimate and claims to be able to recover a deeply discharged battery? Just had it plugged in now for approx 8 HRs and it's not showing anything apart from gree...

My battery has completely discharged.............it's a 'Aerospace energy performance' YTX12-BS and only about 8 mths old. I've not used the bike for 2 weeks and got battery out of bike on charge. Only thing is my optimate charger doesn't show anything apart from green 'on' LED and won't charge it? ...

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes and advice. Is there anywhere on this forum that shows pictures of original automatic CCTs as I'm not sure if my bike has had new manuals fitted or had the modification carried out?

All this talk about CCTs is worrying......joking aside! What would be the first signs of the CCT failing? and if it does fail will it damage the engine etc?

Just purchased a 2005 firestorm for my second bike (had Honda Hornet before, so quite a change!) I have to say I am loving every second on it. It is Blue and in original condition apart from scottoiler, double bubble screen and rear hugger. The sound is awesome!! I'm still getting used to the power ...
