Vtr1000 apparel

Just wondering why no one has designed, a vtr1000.org tshirt. I did get some stickers from the guy on the forum but wondering what else is around. Surely someone could sell 100 tshirts at £ 10, then when peeps are at bsb we could nod or say hi!

Vtr road presence

Dont ya just love it when Audi drivers even pull over for you? Not that I take their pathetic idea that I will rely on their judgment for an overtaking opportunity, but all the same never had a bike that gets this behaviour out of drivers. Must be the beowulfs. Just the passat rep army to ed...

Re: My first Firestorm

Hi mate, welcome to the group. I bought my first vtr in December. After six bikes this is where I want to be. Do the cct's, mine was another minter. 51 plate 11k miles, not a wet day experienced. You can adjust your idle speed easy enough, mine at about 1200 , they don't like the cold much, so I try...

Re: Prov licence, training question

Suzuki GS 500 e, the slingshot some are called. I took my lessons on this in 1999 and it seemed plenty. Direct access costed about £750 then. I did half day lessons, then took the test. I'm not a huge fan of intense 4 day courses with a test at the end, sometimes a week between lessons gives you ti...

Re: New to VTR's

Very nice, I got mine in November, took a few goes to get really comfortable but now love it. I don't find the engine braking a problem, personally. Someone else I know mentioned this, but I dont agree, still waiting for it to be fair, when it catches me out I will let you know. I also would spend t...

SV 1000 v VTR 1000

Interesting to see the Suzuki is also a cheap bike. Wonder what the main differences are ( ok, I know it's not a Honda ). I also know someone that absolutely loves his SV.

Re: CCT,S

Yeah, did mine before I even picked up the bike. Got a bloke I know to pick it up for me as he was around the corner. He is a Honda technician, he bought the cct's from this forum as he too saw the comments, rather than the Honda ones. Two or three hours, including a load of other stuff, so worth li...

Flush front mounting indicators

Hello, does anyone know which aftermarket front indicators would sit within the fairing nicely. The ones that don't stick it with a stem with a diamond or triangular lens, Some Burke had put some ill fitting ones that don't fit properly as half the lens is lost in the gap, and pokes out lamely. Any ...

Re: Hanging up the leathers eek

My vtr (which I bought in November ) has actually given me a new lease of biking life. Just done 250 miles over past two Saturdays and this is really the miles I needed to get the hang of her. She is absolutely gorgeous, the power delivery is insane and I feel just pleased to ride it. So after an ho...

103 miles then the light comes on (again)

Christ, 103 miles!!!! Well I suppose it makes you stop for a rest. The sign you see on the motorway should read " Avoid tiredness.......buy a Firestorm" !!!! Still lovin it though, went out with my mate on Saturday, he has a 2009 CB 1000 R he couldn't believe the noise the VTR made!! (plus...

Re: Original shock

I have originals as well, may pop the beowulfs on eBay in due course, will keep you posted. Race cans arn't for everyone, I had an art can on a previous bike, again hated it! Prefer to ambush fellow riders people quietly
