mine bubbled the paint big time, smelt really bad too! put some of the silver adhesive stuff in there and made it worse if anything. Got a couple of good quality soldering mats in there now but still gets hot to the touch.

That looks good ,unusual to see a fairing cut away as much , but its smart lookin 8) Ive cut mine and got straight bars fitted ,but going to go for higher Renthals in a month or so :!: Had to cut it that much due the high risers, hope it'll look a lot different soon tho - got a spare tank and tail ...

Shouldn't need blanking plates - just some large diameter anodised washers as the fairing still needs bolting thru to the bracket. I had some similar size thin rubber washers as well to protect the paint.

if the chain and front sprocket are in good nick then leave them. assuming you have a std 16t front sprocket then the std chain will fit but the rear wheel has to go right forward
