i got a reply to a PM i sent Styler4077, the guy with the dyno...he says he hasn't been able to post on the site for a while, any admin able to sort something out for him, i think he might be able to post replies, but not start threads.

Assuming Styler is reading this, try clearing out the history and cookies from your browser and try again. You can e-mail me directly if that dosnt work.

Right, try that. Seems to be a problem with your file and directory permissions but it's not something I can change directly. I've tried what I can and I'm not expecting it to work but you never know.

It might come to deleting your account and letting you sign back up again but we'll leave that as a last resort.

Kev, if your reading this see if you can attract Al's attention on the Aberdeen bikers site and point him in this direction(assuming he's not vanished from there as well)

If I try to post a web site link for example I get this failure mentioned above

I'm sure I get it right but maybe not.

Press the "URL" button, enter address, press the "URL" button again.
Is this not correct?

the url thing you are doing is for posting pictures, if you want to post a web address just copy and past it into your text, eg:

http://www.aberdeenbikers.co.uk/abforum/index.php

copied direct from the address window at the top of the web page.
