Snifffle

Post by Zer0Zer0 »

Twas with a sniffle and a dragged nose along a handy sleeve..that i traded in my trusty firestorm today... we've been through a lot this last couple of years or so,and she was a sweet ride.but to tell the truth I just didn't trust her completely anymore. I've been riding like a nun since i got her back on the road in Nov 06. and we still hadn't re-gelled. so feeling ill at ease with the storm and still needing to get into work, and have something to hoon around the hills on in my own time. she had to go. she had 11,000m and an X plate on her taxed and mot'd till Nov .and i got £1200 plus a new pair of pilot sports for my new ride.thats got 5300m on her and is an 03 plate i parted with a £3k wedge as well as the storm ,and i've gone for another much maligned and underrated bike as a replacement so one guess each ..winner gets a smug sense of self satisfaction...

Sorry about the Storm going, but understand.

I'll guess you've gone for an Aprilia RSV1000..?

Enjoy, whatever it is!

Sorry to hear that you've lost confidence in the storm mate.

i've no idea what you've gone for i seem to remember you tried the Mille but didn't really like it so i'd say a hayabusa with a big bore kit for motorway madness.
cheerz

no not a mille or an sp..not an sv or a tuono either..and although i was considering a triumph 955i. in the end i went for THE BIG GREEN NINJA...
03 ZX9R and cor blimey m8 it's a bit quick and that howling from the intakes when im climbing the gears to warpspeed. oh my!. the ride back from work today was smooth and flowingly fast..no thruppeny bit corners on this girl.
I dont really know what the problem was with the storm i spared no expense when it came to go faster goodies and other improvements, and it's a fantastic bike but i guess it's a psycological post off thing...it just wasn't the same. and having been there done that [vee twin] and my last bike was a Z750s. so i went for a big four. the usuals suspects all felt like minimotos
[gsxr] [zx10] [R1] [blade]..so the ZX9r is my new japanese mistress .and so far so good...

Welcome to the Kwak side m8 :wink2 :wink2 :wink2

I love my Zed, just a shame it's got two too many cylinders :biggrin

I reckon my next bike will be either a Buell, Monster, Superduke or 950sm... Ya just can't beat that V-twin sound. The other day when I was out on the mountain bike round Rivvy a Duke 888 went past with Termi's....the sound was just out of this world :wink2 :cool2 :cool2 :cool2
