I ride all this area every week and know it like the back of my hand, Ashbourne is a small village not much going on, Matlock is biker heaven for this area. Bakewell and Buxton are other towns you might want to consider and are very close to all the other places and might be easier to get B&Bs.

Do Both

Why not arrange to meet in Ashbourne (I work near there...more like a small market town than a village but not a lot happening....Mind you a load of noisy V Twins will upset a few of the more 'snobby' locals but thats not a bad thing...some of them take themselves far too seriously  Then a ride out to Buxton / Cat & Fiddle...Through the peaks to Snake Pass then back along A6 through Bakewell to Matlock for a chill out etc :?:

Looking forward to it providing Kids / Family stuff etc doesnt get in the way - Not that I would be without them for a minute but you know what I mean

Mentioned the meet to the Missus tonight and she seemed rather keen to get rid of me for a while - so a tentative hands up here for coming.

I would have voted "Don't mind", but think the poll is clsed or summat.

Cool.

Do we know when yet?

Another poll perhaps? I'm easy (let's not go there) but would like to get it in my diary as soon as so I can fit other little jaunts in too. April is quiet but can be cold, May probably better but off to France at the end of.
