nah.......................................... put it on video (no DVD recorder here yet) for a quiet time to watch it in peace. Long time since I saw that as it was actually in the cinema. I remember the audience was made up mainly of bikers and during the on-bike shots if you looked away from the huge screen & to your side you could see everyone leaning to & fro as the bike went one way then the other!

I'm not a tv watcher or movie goer so I've never seen it. It's one of the wifes favourite films though but so is Dirty Dancing so that doesn't really inspire me to watch it. Is it any good. Rock On

Not quite the same IMHO.

That's the first I've heard of that, how does the alternative ending differ from the original :?:

Cheers for that :!: I've got to be honest I didn't like the ending on the original film, it's not that I'm soft, and I know it was only a film, but it seemed such a short lived achievement after all that struggling for so long to get his goal and have it snatched away in the same breath, for me was such a waste, but I suppose life can be like that sometimes.

Newly released on DVD is "Love, Speed and Loss" a film about Kim Newcombe. (mad bloke who built his own 500GP bike in 1973)

Might be more worth a watch than the "happified" SDR.
