Hi m8.. if you can get 18lts in the tank its post 2000..so if yours is an 02 it should take 18ltrs up to 2000 itll' only take 16ltrs..

Gold calipers, old style clocks.....Deffo a pre-2001 model.

There was (allegedly) a load of older style models knocking about that Honda imported into the UK (see here)
It is one of those (was that blue an official UK colour?) or else a late registration.

Still a damn nice bike though :D looks very clean.

Smashing looking bike - just like my old one in fact :D

No mystery, loads of older bikes registered later. Mine was an 02 and was the older model (and is apparently still available at Drayton Croft). I saw a 'new' one in 2005 in a dealer (who wanted over £6k) and yes, it was the older model! See also:

Yes this is a UK colour and MUCH classier than all the others.

The sticker under the seat is most likely right.
If you're still not sure, pm me the frame number and I can check on the honda database for you.

Don't forget the pre 2001 ones are quicker (110bhp) as the airbox is bigger and they don't have inlet restrictors, so don't worry too much :!: :)
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

And the clocks on the later model are cr*p and if you lose a HISS key it will cost you around £80 to replace it and if you lose all your keys it's a grand to replace the wiring :eek2
