Has anyone fitted a 19L tank

Post by Fireman on a Storm »

Does it fit steight on a pre 2001 model or do you have to change other
things, like to air box?

In the process of replacing my 19L tank with a 24L carbon one.

The airbox box looks exactly the same. The fuel taps are different though.

But apart from that it looks like the new tank would go on with to much problem.

I think Del was going to have a go at it.

cheers

Mr Honda will sell you one for about £350!

Worth looking at breakers or Ebay?

I might be selling mine at some point (Del has first dibs)

Cheers for that JT....i was hoping you were going to say yellow then it would go straight on without any painting etc.......i will have a think ta.

I actually wanted a Silver Storm myself but this deal came up on the Yellow one i got which i just couldnt turn down...could always get it all sprayed if i get sick of the Yellow but its starting to grow on me now :D

Yes indeed the roads up here are pretty good and not many feds if you keep away from the hotspots like devils etc, if you are ever up this way drop us a message and i will see if im about.

Cheers

Fitting a 19 liter tank

Post by Bear »

I live in Canada and we have never had the 19 liter fuel tank available. I love my bike but the range is awful. Noone seems to know if modifications are necessary to fit a 19 liter tank where a 16 now exists. I would be willing to order a tank from the UK if I could find out this info. Help anyone?
