Took that black metal cover off today to change my front sprocket.
Noted the metal rod that goes into the engine and the other end going into the cover (where the clutch mechanism is)
Now, I'm positive I did not touch the clutch lever during this procedure, but when it came to getting this cover back on it did not want to sit down all the way (like it was rocking on the metal clutch rod)
I got it within a few mm of seating down and gently and evenly screwed the allen bolts in to seat the cover down.
All appears to be back in place, but now the clutch seems odd.
Like it's biting point is right near the handlebar.
Errrr, so how do I deal with this?

Been out for a ride, and has got a lot better, also doing a search on here (now I've washed all the black grease of my hands) shows there are loads of postings with exactly the same issue as I found.
I'll get some more fluid tomorrow and bleed it anyway.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Oh yes, on the subject of bleeding clutch and brakes.
Any reason to buy expensive Bike fluid (such as silkolene) or just save pennies and buy some car brake/clutch fluid form Halfords.
As long as it's DOT4 (is it) is it all the same stuff?
