Fitting R&G bungs

Hi

Bought a set of bungs off Ebay for £62 (well pleased :D Went to fit them today and immediately came up with a problem. The instructions just say "remove the engine bolt" which is fine if you have the special castleated tool to get the funny nut off (which I do as I'm borrowing one from a mate with a Storm), but my question is "what about the threaded sleeve that the nut attaches to, does that have to come off to?" If yes, HOW? If not, why not, as it just doesn't look right to me leaving it on, as the nearside bung 'spacer' does not fit flush against the frame, nor does it tighten fully on the replacement engine bolt (it only does-up about 1/3 of the way).

If it DOES have to come off, HOW???

Hopefully someone who has fitted can comment. If not I'll phone R&G, but figured SOMEONE here is bound to have done it. :wink:
