Well done Al, good to see him having fun. I’ll be at the funeral but I’ll be down and back on the day.

I notice that back Then The chalets were all different colours, now they are all the same bland colour.

Yes mate, either in the car or on the Transalp, depending on time constraints.

I’ll most likely be in the car to be honest mate. I’m staying over Sunday night at my Sister in Laws, where the Transalp is based, but I’ve got to get back to town Monday night ready for exams on the Tuesday morning. Dropping the bike back will add a couple of hours to the journey home.

So after a melow ride down on Sunday with Tony. We booked in to the low cost hotel conveniently near the crem & more importantly the pub holding the wake. Sunday eve started with a recon of said pub for a pint. Then a 20 min walk into Barnstaple sa Tony had booked a curry. Time to kill so a pub it was... Met some strange but friendly locals. Had a couple of sups then wanderd down to the Ruby & enjoyed a very nice Ruby Murray + beers of course. After that it was pub crawl in search of some live music. Found a spot & had a nice entertaining eve & some more beers....hic. last stop was a Spoons as they were still serving + ordered a cab. Got back to the digs gone midnight a bit worse for wear. Despite his anti snoring spray I suffered the Mons train impressions most of the night.... any hoo Monday morn out for some breakfast then killed some time before heading to the Quay to join the escort ride. Met with Duffy in his car & whilst having some food Al arrived.

Off to the crem where Kev L was waiting. A very moving service. Yes I did shed a tear or two. After the service we went back to the digs changed & walked back to the wake where more beer & salutes to Malc. Had some food. More beer. Lots of reminiscing. Back to the digs. Tony has gone. I'm of for some brekie with Duffy & Al then off home in the rain..

RIP Malc you will be missed but never forgotten.

A sad end to a friendship but it was a good sendoff. I counted around 60 bikes including a sidecar outfit and a couple of trikes.
