iread it and red it more i red the greater confusiom i thought you had to remove carbs to get to rocker box take the rockerbox and set to tdc then take out cct then strip out alternator then remove reduction gears im dsylexic so it becomes hard to red

i always wanted to ride a v twin now i got one i still cant :D

The rear cam cover, yes, but the cylinder head doesn't need to be removed. You said "top end", that usually means heads.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

klunc penny drops

remove tank
remove air filter box (not sure about)
remove rear rocker cover
set to rear timing marks
move to front timming marks
ihave mannual cct so i think i have to unload pressure on it making not of turns out then remove
dismantle alternator etc
remove and replace gears
rebuild

if i have this wrrong please feel freee to come around and smack me on headd tony

You will need a 12 point spline socket for the lower cam chain tensioner blade for the front cylinder. You can't use a normal socket. They're cheap enough on eBay.

Yes, you need to remove the front cct, because you will need to undo the lower tensioner blade bolt to get enough room to wiggle the transfer gears in place.

The stub axle in the centre of the transfer gears slides out using a magnet, by the way.

was that the dripping tap approach tony but i finally got it lol does airbox have to come of

To do the CCTs correctly then yes air box off so you can get to the front head.

These will be in the post along with the stand.

This is the pin that holds the gears in, it's loose fit & come out fairly easy, Tony says use a magnet, I used a small pair of bent nosed pliers to hold & pull out. The gasket needed scraping away to get it out...
