Time to get the bike going again

After taking a break for a bit while getting settled in a new state and kind of inheriting a '01 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 that had sat for around 5 yrs (gas is cheap here) I spent this year getting the truck running well and reliable. Though that project would be for a different forum.
Due to covid stuff I have been waiting around 4 months for my appointment at the motor vehicle department to register the bike as it expired 9\19 which came up this last fri.
Actually the first time I have rode the bike in a year. Which of course lit the fire again....lol
So this winters project is build the engine as I still have the mori pistons & cams sitting on the shelf. The first step is getting my ported heads rebuilt as I believe I have found a local place that can do the job......that is one thing I do miss about SoCal.....but it isn't that far of a drive if I can't find an acceptable local shop.
Hope everyone has been well
Cheers,
Mike
