Hello one and all.
I’ve been registered on here for a few years but never posted before. Had my VTR for a while too now but have never used it for any more than a spin around the block after various mods and then it gets relighted to the back of the garage again
I started using it properly for the first time a month or so ago to iron out any issues so it would be ok to sell....... and I’m loving it and am keeping it!!!! I do love a V twin!

One thing that I would be interested to know is the fuel range that I can expect as I have no fuel light or gauge etc... in fact it’s got no clocks at all.... minimalist to the extreme!!(or too lazy to get round to fitting new ones)

I know it can vary depending on riding style , state of tune etc but a worst case scenario would be useful...
Cheers

right around 100 miles you should start looking for fuel on most VTRs

No clocks! I would struggle with that. I guess you will just have to open the filler and shake the bike to see how you are going. Maybe chuck a manual petcock from a different bike in there somehow,, so at least you know when it hits reserve?

Cheers,100 miles is about what I was thinking ..
Only plan on using it locally for a run about to work etc. Its not the comfiest bike in the world to ride too far on and only has a day time mot.

If you have no clocks, how do you know how many miles you have done?
Maybe you should have modified it a but less

I have a sat nav I use on it and record and reset the mileage . It’s got the speed on it too, which is handy for keeping the points tally down on my licence.!
