New toy

Thought I’d better stop being a “lurker” and say hello everyone.
Bought my beast last summer and, having just dusted her off, taken her out for the first time this year, I am now having difficulty once more with the fixed grin. :D
I’ve graduated from a VTR which I had to retire after 112,000 miles. This thing is just a different animal. “Uncivilised” springs to mind. Love it. Always wanted a big V-twin. Didn’t think it would be this good. It’s still on factory CCTs so obviously need to rectify this. Can’t decide who’s to buy?
Also, it gets really hot and bad tempered in traffic, stopping randomly in traffic queues and sometimes being a pig to start again... absolutely fine when it’s cold. New temp sensor required perhaps or is my thermostat stuck? Doesn’t cool down again until doing erm, maximum legal speeds out of town....
Just thought I’d ask the questions rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. All suggestions gratefully received.
K
