Right! Little update with no pics I’m afraid.

I’ve decided to go gold on the wheels..... not a deep gold but more of a silvery gold like the Marchesini wheels on the new sp2.

Also, took delivery of a new side fairing mount from MacV2.... ONE DAY TO ARRIVE AFTER PAYING. Awesome guy and awesome service. Got a few more little bits on the way, and I still need to do a coolant change..... but I’m off work this week (until Friday) and really don’t want to go grab tools so it shall wait until Saturday to get it done :).

UPDATE TIME!

Wheels have been dropped off to the powdercoaters. The coater I’ve been recommended has done some work for work, and it’s always looked good. They’re also exceptionally cheap. I’ve asked for a light gold, and look forward to seeing what I end up with!

I’ve also decided to pull the bike off the road for a month..... this is for two reasons. I want to get some more bits powdercoated (I’ll explain more in a sec!), and because my old bloody insurance company has made a mistake with my NCB. I’ve gotta wait for this to be sorted. Pain in the butt.

So. Due to the above fact, the bike now looks like this:

Subframe off to go to the powdercoaters. Going to have it done satin black, along with the exhaust hanger and shark fin off the bottom of the swing arm. Although, I might have these done gloss to offset the satin of the subframe and swing arm. I’m going to get my standard clip ons and the top yoke done too.

The wiring loom will be tidied up whilst I’m here. It’s had an updated reg/rec fitted already. A couple of new connectors, rewrap with cloth loom tape and a new set of rear indicators and she’ll be good to go.

Exciting times.
