Hey all,
I've referenced this site so many times, I thought it was a bout time I stepped up and said "hi" (and not a big FB user).

Adelaide born & brewed, own a blue 2004 VTR since new and just clocked 30,000km (still original chain) - obviously a Sunday toy. Owing to the the 'storms balanced design I haven't done too much - braided lines, 5mm spacer, firmer front springs and a thumping, fire spewing, hate inspiring throttle overrun set of Remus GP cans... all-in-all, enough to loose my ducati mates through bumpy corners only to be caught under brake at the next and still make them blush with the noise.

With most mates having moved on or away the beloved storm was gathering dust and as I'm now working in the CBD I momentarily toyed with the idea of selling it (for SFA) and grabbing a commuter scooter - I thought "be buggered" - the ol girl doesn't owe me anything , I haven't spent anything extra on her - time to pimp my ride.

So without rattling on too much, these are the parts I'll be installing and in no particular order:
  • 929 Calipers and SP2 M/C
  • Various titanium bolts
  • Rear hugger (matt black)
  • Rear underbody tidy (matt black)
  • Gold rims
  • New levers
  • Integrated LED brake/indicators
  • 43t rear sprocket
  • Speed Healer
  • X-ring 530
I'm budgeting around $2k all in. I desperately wanted high rise pipes but Mrs CFO warned against it and the options out there now aren't that good.

Anyway, thanks for all the info - see you out there!

GDay Brewed,

it's a good forum this one innit!

Only this week after 2k kms on a VTR I've come to think the calipers+ weren't up to it. I'm sure your improvements will fix it.
