Poor ol Virt - hopefully vid will get him his insurance money quickly & without quibble

Security chains seem little obstacle for brazen tooled up thieves. Even if it fitted with an immobiliser they tow/push it away too somewhere secluded nearby to do the hot wiring. Wonder if the CBR is of an age and fitted with Honda HISS which will make it useless for joy-riding and then they'll just dump it, rather than breaking it.

Only just watched this the other day.

Oh no......Well I hope the insurance pay out more than what he would have sold it for like making a quick sale. As he was selling it, it's kind of like a blessing in disguise as long as the pay out is sufficiant.

Poor young man Virt, I bet he's gutted

What is it with things like this

It's about time we had more of a deterrent, the cut backs of bobbies on the street can't be helping either,

Chris.

gutted for you ymv.
bike theft is that bad now, that a lot of honest bikers can only afford very basic insurance, and thereby can't afford theft cover.
I know that my insurance has risen £80 this year, and I thought it was supposed to get lower as I got older and have full ncb ffs. I reckon the rise can only be down to bike theft.
uk bike theft is getting way out of hand.

It’s not good as he now has a 45 mile commute to see her on buses and trains (bus wonker) .
His insurance is taking there jolly time sorting it out , just hope now it’s in the media it’ll speed things up .
He’s not looking at getting a good payout due to all the excesses he had on the insurance !

Cheapest insurance ain’t always the best .

anybody got an old knacker bike that they could loan him?

I would be happy to contribute to any costs getting it to him / insured ... the little scrote doesn't have much luck, but he is a good lad
