G'day everyone!
Firstly, great site, forum. Well explained and laid out. Well done!

I'm not real savvy when it comes to computational stuff so feel free to ignore your blind spot and run me off the road if I do something wrong, so to speak ha!

About me, I have an 05 SP2 which is my pride and joy, all original condition with 18k Kms on the dash. Big fan of the Honda vtwin.

Looking to buy a firestorm soon for a project I have in mind but ill get to that later. (This is not a wanted ad) just wanted to say hi!

Welcome to the club mate. Have a look at Varastorm's project if you need inspiration.
Where are you based?

I live in Oz, Queensland. I'll have a look cheers bloke.

That is a very cool looking ride, really like it. The video of dirt quake in threads was a cracka!
My project I have in mind is a little different though. I'm a little worried about bringing it up as it may raise a few eyebrows and middle fingers to say the least.

Firestorm dragbike.
There, I said it.
I'll be buying a repairable write off for the project so it'll be saving a vtr from the wreckers. Kind of like saving an animal from the pound. That's the way I see it anyway

Hi, there.
It's an interesting idea.
There was a fella on here a few years ago had a white one with a stretched swingarm I saw run quarters at the Bulldog Bash when I was running what I had brung.
The biggest problem will be the clutch, which is grabby and makes it hard to launch.
Good luck!

Thanks Alan and Tony for the welcome and for the info, it's very much appreciated.
I've been sifting through the forum's topics like a mad man all day, trying to learn and gather info about this idea. I have read they are a bit "grabby" and quite a few far more knowledgeable people than me have tried to rectify this with limited success.

Think I might open up a new topic in projects about this.

Thanks again

David

If I can be in any way helpful then ask away.
There's a ten second run in these bike with a std sa and more with a stretch(but that's cheating......)

Cheers Tony,
I will have heaps of questions no doubt. Still have to get that project bike, missed out on a nice red one today that sadly looks like it's gone to the wreckers, oh well I'll keep searching. That's part of the fun.
I have opened my topic in projects and will post pics there when I have something and work out how to post pics.

Thanks again
David

Tony, I do have question for you. Looking at a bike atm. 07 storm with very low ks I mean low! Cbr600rr front end fitted. Brakes shocks all well modified. Would this be a bike I'd be interested in? ie is it lighter than vtr front end?
Cheers
