arhhh poo i just low sided!

Post by Squiffythewombat »

Ive just dropped the bike on a roundabout, some random grit/sand didnt agree with my tyres evidently! Dammit! I was lucky tho, got away with broken front indicator, scratched casing and a bent brake lever! Ive got a spare indicator and i kinda like the hero style scratches but a bend brake levers not very handy! does anybody know where i can get one relatively quick or does anybody have one they want to sell me?

On a sidenote, my sliders look totally worn and i can get my kneedown whenever i want which has definatly made up for the slide, its was just annoying because i was so chuffed with myself and it was the last roundabout before going home!

thanks again for listening to my drivel, kidna annoyed and needed somewhere to vent it...:-)

Glad you are ok.............just to cheer up up.........been riding 30 years and STILL CAN'T GET KNEE DOWN.
CANT WHEELIE EITHER. but falling off at roundabouts is real easy to do
it may be clever, but its not big.

Used to have a zxr400H1 - Real blast!! Not often that you can ride a bike to the limiter on the road  (maxed out at 120mph)
Handling wise it was sweet although I was not very experienced at the time - reckon I'd do much better now

I would not mind a 400cc on the side for the craic as well!

wow same here, i had the H1 too, much better than ater models.

THE BEST thing about the 400 was nailing it round superbikers, getting to the club and having the converstaion as such:

R1 rdier: "blimey thats fecking quick for a 750"
me: "thats not a 750 mate, its a 400!"

the sheepish looks on their face is priceless!

talking about this makes me want one even more now! Off to ebay to dream!

Reckon that they get snapped up for club racing - they are 1 of the best 400's to run.

They are the same price at David Silver Spares so you won't get it cheaper for a new one.
Keep an eye out of eBay - you might have to wait but it will save you cash in the long run.
