Then you need to go in from underneath and undo the big end bolts (you need a twelve-point 12mm socket) and don't re-use the bolts- they're single use only, but not expensive. (I think I have some spares, but not a full set).

Push the pistons out, and have a look at the big ends.

There's no point in building the engine up until you've found the problem, but be aware that some marks on the pistons could be old, and form the last time the CCT's went.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Your probably better off buying another engine and then stripping the old and seeing if you can get it back running.

You certainly will, if you were going to rebore it, new high comp pistons and all bearings and seals it would go to £500 or so.
That's if you can find anyone who can rebore it.

It'll probably cost more to fix your engine than buy the other one.

I had dentist work recently and it was £58 for the treatment, that included anything that needed doing, thought that was the standard thing unless you want blingy gold teeth

With my dentist I was quoted a couple or three hundred for root canal work or £40 inclusive to have it pulled...

I suppose her pulling it would take your mind off your toothache for a few seconds.

feel ripped off somewhat haha, fixing the engine seems the best option for me now, or atleast strip it and see.
