Digitally challenged
Ahead of a trip to Germany next month I am looking to get some extra brake/clutch levers and was wondering if CNC levers (cheap Chinese variety) are better or worse for those with smaller hands?

Re: Digitally challenged
I was looking to get a cheap Chinese set, shorties.
Read mixed reviews, many like, many complain of wobble-levers with time.
So I spent a little more and went for £57 V-Trech ones instead.
No wobbling at all. Really nicely made.
Now I've small hands (it's quality, not quantity) and I've got to admit I simply love them.
And for some reason (?) shifting is much quicker and easier.
So personally, I'm glad I paid a little more and went slightly up from cheap.
Jealous of your trip - enjoy!!![Thumbup ](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)

Re: Digitally challenged
Careful with the cheapy Chinese brake levers as there are reports on them subtly keeping the brakes dragging on, leading to warped disks.
No problem with clutch lever

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Re: Digitally challenged
I use cheap Chinese levers and they're fine, well machined and fit nicely. No issues with brake drag (and if there was, a bit of file work would sort that). I even crash tested some (accidentally of course) and they held up well.

Re: Digitally challenged
not only warped disc, it can cause overheating of brake fluid, resulting in brakes malfunction.Wicky wrote:Careful with the cheapy Chinese brake levers as there are reports on them subtly keeping the brakes dragging on, leading to warped disks.

Re: Digitally challenged
I bought a pair for the CBF as the clutch was heavy with the standard levers, and for the price I think they are great. The clutch feels a lot lighter and it has a 6 point adjustment lever, so I have adjusted the brake lever closer to the bar.

Re: Digitally challenged
Those were the type I was looking at, Bazza do you find the adjustment better than standard ones?
