Really enjoyed that .
So glad I got chance to see it 5 times this year and even got in one at the Coventry air museum ,
If your ever up this way I really recommend popping in to see it as its even smaller inside than what you think .

its amazing they managed to build those things concidering the tecnology available.they were desighnen and flown by the seat of there pants.and as usual the americans and russians coppied it years later

Germans in WW2 did the research on the concept and after the war German research was napped by the allies (Op Paperclip etc). but some of the concepts developed in parallel even during the war.

Then very quickly in 1946 US XB-35 flying wing flew

Can't think of any Rusky production or prototype flying wings apart from a couple of powerpoint B2 rip off concepts.

The fact the Vulcan will not fly anymore annoys, angers and saddens me!!

It is being grounded by certain Aviation bodies (bae) will no longer support the airframe!! And therefore she cannot get her certificate to fly public air displays. The trust that own the Vulcan have finds to fly her for several years!!

The Vulcan is such a very important part of British history and in my mind up there with the spitfires, lancs and hurricanes!!would we accept those planes being grounded due to there airframes exceeding recommended number of flight hours plus 10%!!!

The main issue is that it is basically 'fly by wire" and has no alternative systems in place if anything fails.The Computer software to maintain the fly by wire is no longer available. Thats what i was told. The airframe can be modified but at huge cost. Software isn't available at all.

Were twats, Concorde should still be flying too.
