braided hoses for a blade front end.

Post by slimreaper »

Has anyone got any experience of fitting braided hoses to a storm with a fireblade front end?
I want to go for a 2-line setup, but don't know if I need a blade kit or a storm kit.
I was thinking a blade kit for length of lines, but I am not sure as to wether the fittimgs at the top end from a blade kit will clear my fairing etc.
I have got spondon clipons on at the mo.
I am doing a track day at cadwell next month so need to get it sorted for then really.
Cheers
Andy.

Andy

I've got that set up on mine and storm braided hoses work fine.

I assume you're using standard master cylinder and calipers?

Blade forks are about 30mm shorter than storms but this doesn't affect the lines

Andy,
I'd second going for the Storm kit despite it being a touch too long

My reasoning was that if I ever put the standard front end back on the hoses will fit. And for this convenience I'm prepared to overlook the slightly long hoses.

The only other thing I found was that I had to chop off the lug on the master cylinder. However I've got a knackered thumb so do have the brake lever set very low. But either way its not a big job
