Yamaha MT-07

Post by Mav617 »

Seriously thinking of trading the TRX in for one of these. A decent pipe and a round highlight, and it would appear perfect! Deep Armor colours, going to see one tomorrow at Infinity in Clapham, willpower fading fast....

A friend of mine bought one a few months ago, he is absolutely made up with it.

He fitted a small screen & Bark Buster guards for some protection, recons he's getting around 70 to the gallon :eh:

They are quite small though, he's around 6' tall & medium build, but I don't have the heart to tell him he looks a little big for it

Looked at these in a Yam dealer a couple of weeks ago (not to buy, I was there for something else) the "Moto Cage" version looks the nuts, very impressive for the price and made the standard version look bland by comparison.

Good luck with the test ride. Do let us know how it all goes. Looking at the spec's I think it's going to seem a little lacking in power, go on tell me I'm wrong :)

The MT-09 goes bloody well! MT-07 still looks fun, bit small though

One of our guys at work has just bought one. Wacked an Akra on it and it looks; sounds and goes a treat.

I got caught up at work and couldn't make it, I'll give Nialls a ring at Infinity next week to rearrange. Looking at cash flow it'll be a stretch but sounds worth it going off this:

Looking at finances it's a no-no for now :( so cheered myself up with a new rear shock for the TRX!

You know it makes sense Mav

I was in a similar situation as you some years ago. I was contemplating dealing in my Firestorm on a brand new Honda SP2, a black one. It would have cost me 6K plus my Firestorm back then. In the end I just couldn't justify the 6K, so I didn't go ahead with it.

As much as having brand new bike is an exciting time, I think once that novelty has worn off, you may find you're glad you kept the TRX,

Chris.
