Old bloke trying to kill himself

Post by Kev L »

Well chaps it's now confirmed that I have a place in the 2015 Virgin London marathon. Been out and completed a couple of 5 mile runs to start things rolling, jeez it's hardwork. Don't remember hurting for so long after the training runs the last time! Doesn't matter how much running on the machine in the gym you do it in no way prepares your body for the impact of the pavement. Better book in for the replacement hips, knees as soon after as possible. Long overdue to be honest.

Anyway chaps if you can spare a couple of bob I would be very much obliged, I have commited to raising £1800 for CRY to get the place in the run. You'll understand why if you read the website, thanks in advance.

Thanks very much to Steve, Markbo & Marty for your kind donations. Much appreciated chaps.

The marathon is on the 26th April but the site will keep collecting for 2 months beyond that. No great hurry, I just want to get a head start trying to fulfill my commitment.
Cheers folk.

I will only donate if you do the run dressed as a blue Storm...Well you have to make it interesting don't you...

The minimum I will accept is if you fashion a hat out of a blue F2 tank...I will need photographic evidence of course...
