these were posted a few months ago, stunning piece of kit, hopefully some of the features will find there way into cheaper mainstream lids.

Nah that would bug the crap out of me having that block in my eye line.

I could be wrong but I'm assuming the camera for the rear view is on the back of the lid...That means when you move your head the image will change.

At junctions that means your just going to have a blur in your eye line every time you look left-right -left ect.

Even on the move you don't keep your head dead still so this big square block is gonna be moving about & I doubt the image will be dead stable all the time...

What happens to the image as you view it when a big juicy bug gets splattered on the visor, will you be thinking 'bloody hell that huge fly is right up my chuff !' More likely that the rear view image will have a dark spot which you cant see through.

Then what about a low sun behind you ? Or a vehicle coming up behind you at night ?

Mmmmm pass on that bit of tech thanks...

If I was an Apache pilot then it would be OK as I would be able to control each eye independently from one another, but as I'm not.... i'm with Mac on this one. Far too distracting. I thought the same when Sirch posted a similar lid a few months back, though that was more like a rear view mirror than HUD.

my cousin had one of those rear facing camera things on his zx10 instead of mirrors.

I thought it was a bit distracting

mind you every time i drive a car or a van with a sat nav I nearly have a crash looking at it.

I'm not sure in the rear facing camera, but the HUD is awesome!! I love you can show satnav directions or speed!!

I like it :D
But I would also want a "Do Not Disturb" Button for when I'm doing soothing naughty and don't want to be distracted.
I wonder what the sound quality is like? I've not heard of a system yet which works in all conditions and can still let you hear whats going on around you.
