MacV2 mobile fitting and troubleshooting service

Post by Wicky »

What a star when he saw my predicament with a knackered oil line - he dashed up from sunny Grain with a set of his very own refurbished oil lines from stock and fitted them! Along the way he tinkered with my sidestand that had slowly through the years gone wonky as well, and top it off he even looked the house over for mice that my moggy keeps bringing in. Image

We got away without having to drain the sump oil by leaning it over at 45 degrees each side - so now all sorted with new corrosion resistant pipes and new SS hose mated onto old end fittings :cool2 . Mac has photos of my shameful old pipe where the salty roads have eaten away at the chrome and into the thin metal pipe that eventually rusted away leading to a pinhole and spurty out oil under pressure :eek2 After he left to let me give the bike an overdue spit & polish I found the senile old git had left his phone behind. As he won't be needing it in hospital any offers for it?

Give him a ring, he'll come back for it

Hope he realises he's not got the phone before he gets too far, we've all become so dependant on the things it's hard to imagine how we coped before

Nice job on the oil lines

The phone has flown - mobile service can now resume.

So a quick round trip of another 160 odd miles today to go & get me phone...

Quick cuppa & a rather tasty bacon sandwich & a quick lesson in how to feed the mice the special food I took up. Replied to a couple of txt that had come in...

Time to go things to do people to see...So I goes out to the bike, tank bag on...think I'll just de fly me visor, get the V sponge out from under the seat...

Shite where's me key ???

Spot the problem...

It's too red, the light is almost directly above which isn't ideal for the photo; you parked it a little too far from the kerb, and despite leaving your phone miles from home yesterday you can't keep track of your key.
Lastly it looks like your rear tyre is a pound or a pound and a half psi under pressure.

Happy to help
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
