Ferry,Ice cream,Pizza and bi- planes - Hants 5th Jul 14

Post by bigtwinthing »

HI well there seems some interest in my Fave trip, so dates for the trip out are,

Meet at Ower services on M27, up to salisbury,Shaftsbury to Bi-plane airfield breakfast. Then down past Blandford to Poole, onto Sandbanks ( Posh houses 10 Mill +) then Ferry to Swanage ( 5 mins but good) then ice cream at Swanage. From there up through Forest ( not the 40mph bit) to Lyndhurst and onto Cadnum. Thats back onto M27, ride then to where ever or onto the road up through Romsey to Middle Wallop for some fast twisty stuff.

Theres some great runs round here depending on your time element. As I've said i do the ferry for a feeling of a small holiday. Great to meet some guys too. If theres less than 20 i buy the ice creams  ( i haven't got a house at Sandbanks you know)

Date 5th July. Hope to meet at 0930 ish on the M3 Services at Winchester (heading South) Then head to my place to drop off the Guys overnight stuff ( jimjams  ) then head off for brekkie etc. Come on, it may be hot enough for a swim!!!

The route:

The Wallop runs a good un. My other most Fave run is down through, Chickerall, Abbostbury,The Swyre Bull along Burton Bradstock to West Bay etc. ( Where Broadchurch was filmed)

Ive crashed on some great roads down in Dorset  ( in my youth) Yamaha YDS7 head first into a Tractor, Feck that hurt.

some cheap B and b s about but you will need to book early as the Kiddywinks are on hols in July ( about the 18th)

I haven't got room as the daughter and friends( 2 ) are staying from end of June until last week of August, there place is being rewired and underpinned, and a new roof.

This looks great but with my lad every other weekend time is already getting tight - I'll watch from the sidelines and jump on if I can make it :Beer Popcorn:

That's very kind of you Mr Blue Bananaman

Obviously Mark will be coming down too, so I'll try and work with him on finding cheap digs also.

If you can name a couple of useful locations for an overnight stop BTT that would be handy, then we can look at options... hostels, b&b, undersides of pub tables etc

I can smell the sea breeze and pizza already! Or do I just need a good wash.....? ;)
